I am a New York-based visual artist and educator whose practice engages with lens-based media as a point of departure rather than a destination. While my work often originates in photographic processes, I resist the designation “photographer,” a term that I believe foregrounds technical apparatus over conceptual inquiry. My interest lies not in the tools themselves—whether cameras, paintbrushes, or digital devices—but in their capacity to serve as conduits for artistic expression.

My creative practice is interdisciplinary and fluid. Although rooted in the photographic image, my work frequently transitions into other forms, including hand-painted imagery, animated GIFs, video art, digital collage, memes, and text-based interventions such as poetry. This continual morphing of medium reflects my belief that form should follow idea, and that artistic production should remain open, experimental, and responsive.

The evolution of my work is informed by a broad constellation of influences, including Duane Michals’ narrative sequencing, Man Ray’s surrealist provocations, René Magritte’s conceptual dislocations, and Lou Reed’s lyrical sensibility. These figures have shaped my approach to visual storytelling and the interplay between image and meaning.

My work has been exhibited internationally and is included in the permanent collections of The Center for Fine Art Photography and Benedictine University.
